Rosette - \"Making Deals\"
<snip>
There were several mollopods remaining that were out of range of the
smoke grenade, all armed, and all incredibly pissed off, Chris noted,
as a barrage of bullets flew centimetres over his head, one grazing his
forearm as he moved to return fire.
"Son of a bitch!" he yelled, clutching his arm and applying pressure to stop the bleeding.
"I could use a little help, ladies and gents - it's not exactly a
cocktail party out here!" he shouted in the direction of the crew, who
were only now proceeding to move out of the prison block.</snip>"It's too crowded in here, we need another way out." Rosette said to Chris, firing from behind the wall. The hail of bullets was too much to make a safe move for the line the machine gun was on. Chris was crouched in front of it, keeping the Mollopods further down the corridor. Sweetsly, the health and safety officer sat on the opposite side of the corridor, on the safe side of the machine gun post. He wasn't looking very healthy, the 'tag' had been his first trip at transporting, coupled with the fact he was dropped from a few feet above the Mollopod's head... He was understandably disorientated. Rosette stopped firing for a moment, as the bug within her tried to appear again. She handed the gun to Jay instantly, and withdrew to the back of the crowd. "There's plenty of food here..." the bug said to her. "don't you dare..." she said, beating it back with the proverbial stick. "These people are my friends.. my family. I'll NEVER let you hurt them again." she added, putting her foot down."And how are you going to stop me?" The bug asked. Rosette thought about this, and put the stick down."We should work together. I'm human, I can get into places you'll never get on your own, and you can get places I can never get alone." she said, reasoning with the beast."I'll make a deal with you. If we work together when we need it, there will be times I can let you run free..." All this time, she was sat against on of the prison's stone pillars, a vacant expression on her face as her mind was fighting to stop the bug from taking control. Anyone that looked at her would think she had fallen into a coma, or worse...<tag>Windows Live Hotmail just got better. Find out more!
