Rosette - "Mind tricks"
(OOC: Just a quick post to get the story back where it is meant to
be, and to cover up the last couple of posts... Don't worry about
messing up my story, you haven't... My Yahoo ID is linked to my email
address, so clicking on that will send an email to me if you want to
discuss my plans. Thanks!)

meanwhile, Rosette re-appeared in Seymour's room, falling from the
ceiling as a human again. She grabbed the plastic bag of clothes,
tore the first aid kit open and tended to her shoulder. Donning the
clothes as quickly as her one working arm would allow, she left
Seymour's quarters, and headed for her own for a really long sleep...

Many hours later, Rosette woke with a start. She blinked a few
times, and looked at the mirror nearby, then to a clock.
"I need more sleep than that..." She mumbled, lying back down. A
raspy voice in the back of her mind whispered to her
"Don't you have something to do?" it said quietly. The voice wasn't
so quiet that it was easily ignored however, so she sat up again.
She looked around the room, making sure it wasn't someone messing
with her.
"Go away, I need sleep!" she said out loud, but the voice continued
to speak. Eventually, she changed again. Her skin turned black, and
became glossy like the Black Widow spider that she had become so
often recently. The legs shot out from her back, and carried her
into the vents.
------The Navigational Department-------
"Ok guys, get that computer plugged in over there, it's brand new...
got a new set of starcharts on it and everything." One of Ambers
subordinates said, obviously he had taken command of the department
since Amber had been made acting Captain. None of the three expected
a giant Black Widow spider to leap down onto them, chow down on the
heads of the technicians trying to fit the computer, and wrap the
computer in a web.
Nor did Amber's subordinate expect the previously mentioned giant
Black Widow spider to carry the computer off down the corridor... He
followed it, and looked around the corner, but it was gone already...
He stepped to a communications console, and pushed the button on
it. "uhh... Captain... That Hymenoptera just stole a computer..." he
said, before checking again to make sure he wasn't
hallucinating. "Yes... that definitely happened."
<tag people, what do you make of this?>
