**Action Post**
When Captain Alota Chrysler's Blue Dwarf crashed into the Thorax, it
removed the main threat that was stopping the Blue Dwarf teams from
fixing the Plasma Enducing Nuclear Induction Systems on the other
Blue Dwarfs. The remaining Hymenoptera ships were chased down and
defeated by the Starbugs and Space Eagles. Although some of the
Hymenoptera vanished mysteriously, as did the battleship owned by the
half-Human, half-Hymenoptera "General" Jed Calvert, whom now
considered himself as "Emperor" of the Hymenoptera.
Over half of the other Blue Dwarf's had unfortunately been destroyed
by the Hymenoptera kamikaze Coccinella ships, which meant that the
engineering teams from the Blue Dwarf actually had an easier job.
Teams quickly fixed the ships, allowing them all to return to their
proper universes.
As the last alternate Blue Dwarf disappeared in a sparkling shine of
inter-universal shift, it left only one. It was massive, almost five
miles long and home to over a thousand people, but it now seemed
small compared to what there was just 24 hours ago.
Captain Jay Chrysler gave a speech to his crew, and commended them on
their bravery and hard work with fixing the Plasma Enducing Nuclear
Induction Systems on the other Blue Dwarfs.
Almost in the same breath, Jay went on to talk about the Blue Dwarf's
new orders which came in earlier in the day.
"We've been ordered to patrol the border of Mollopod space." He
explained to the crew. "The Mollopods are our allies, they signed a
treaty of alliance several months ago so we could fight against the
Krylons together. This was a controversial treaty, as Mollopods seem
to enjoy nothing more than eating Humans as some kind of delicacy...
so many of us were extremely sceptical." He looked around. Jay always
saw the best in people, but he knew that an alliance with a species
of alien that eats Humans for breakfast was risky. "Rumours has it
that the Mollopods are building a new armada of spaceships. We don't
know why so far, it could be totally innocent. But we've been ordered
by the Space Corps to patrol the border between Mollopod and Human
space just in case..."
"So we're spying on them?" Called out Amber from the crowd. Straight
to the point as usual.
"No... not really. We're just.... watching out for anything unusual
that's all." Jay admitted.
Bolts of electricity ran down the side of the Blue Dwarf, polarising
the ship's forward ramscoops. The electricity bounced off it
playfully and kneaded space into forming a swirling blue wormhole.
The Blue Dwarf was sucked through.
As it exited the wormhole, it slid calmly into an area of space on
the border between Human and Mollopod space.
Even thought the Blue Dwarf had new orders, the crew were relieved to
have finished their last mission. The bars on the Promenade opened
early that evening, and huge crowds of crewmembers flocked to them to
celebrate a job well done.
