Jayne:- A Clonefusing situation

Who:- Jayne, Harris, Dante, several crew members of Blue Dwarf #562,
anyone else who wants to be a part of the team
Where:- Blue Dwarf #562 or "The Blue Dwarf where everyone's the
opposite sex"
When:- During the Hymenoptera attack.
Everyone in the landing bay was thrown off their feet as the first
volley came, everyone except Dante who caught Jayne as she stumbled
into his chest, he grabbed her as a second impact rocked the ship.
"What was that?" Jayne asked.
"I don't know.." Phyllis FeBuggure, executive officer of the Blue
Dwarf #562 replied "Let me find out for you dear…" she sauntered off
to a communications panel across the room, the boarding party from
the Dwarf prime followed.
"It appears we're under attack!" Phyllis said.
"Well…duh…" Harris said, "But by who? Theres noone in this sector
but…well…us…"
"Bugs…" said Dante as he saw a Scorpion fighter fly past a nearby
porthole.
"What?" Harris said "But…that's not possible, we've been monitoring
they're region of space heavily since the last war with them and
they've barely left their sector. Everyone thought they'd learned
their lesson after we wormholed most of them into a supernova…"
"I know what I saw" Dante replied
"Bugs?" Phyllis asked "Ewwww…."
"Eeeee!" said Mini-Phyllis, stood next to him.
"What do you mean, bugs?" asked Christine Harris.
"You've never met `em?" Chris Harris asked
"Never, that I'm aware"
"You'd know" said Dante. " They call themselves the Hymenoptera,
their the most destructive alien race in the known galaxy. They wipe
out entire civilisations"
"Not ringing any bells…" said Justine Pancake.
"Why are we standing around chatting?" Jayne asked "You need every
pilot you have, including me, to get out there and fight!"
"Er no actually." Phyllis said "The captains given the order to
evacuate all exterior sections of the ship..including the shuttle
bays."
"Why?"
"They're boarding."
Sure enough, the shuttle bay doors were blasted open by a sudden
explosion from the outside, the debris hurtled outward due to the
decompression before the emergency forcefields kicked in, which
didn't happen soon enough to stop the members of each crew being
blown halfway across the shuttlebay.
Jayne picked herself up and looked around for the others who had
been scattered by the explosive force, but had to throw herself to
the ground as the first of the Scorpion craft entered the bay, and
flew over her head as it came into land, narrowly missing her.
"WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE!" Dante yelled to her, across the bay.
Jayne nodded, and made a dash for the exit, but she couldn't get out
before the Hymie crews had disembarked their ships and seeing her
run, several of them broke into pursuit after her. She dodged left,
right, upward, dived to the floor and rolled and any number of
graceful manoeuvres that she could manage before she was knocked to
her feet by a wayward tentacle. The giant spider-like creature
reared up, ready to impale Jayne with it's giant mandibles but was
interrupted by the rather inconsiderate blast from a pulse rifle to
it's left. Jayne turned her head, Dante was lowering his smoking
weapon. "CHRYSLER! GO!" he yelled, as the dozens of Hymenoptera
warriors turned on him. Jayne clambered back to her feet, and looked
back at Dante, who was now surrounded.
"DANTE!!" she yelled, but she didn't have time to worry about the
man-mountain as another nearby Spider Hymie lunged at her, she
darted for the exit.
The sound of Dante's and the Hymenoptera's weapons fire behind her.
She tripped over something as she got near the door, and looked down
to see that it was the bodies of Phyllis Febuggure and Christine
Harris, who each lay there with a smoking, charred hole through
their chests. Staggering back to her feet she launched herself
through the internal shuttle bay doors, and out into the corridor
which were slammed shut by Mini-Phyllis Justine and Chris Harris,
just as a Hymenoptera capture-web wound itself around Jayne's legs,
but weas severed as the doors slammed shut.
"Dante's still in there!" she exclaimed as she unwound the thick,
silky mucus that bound her legs.
"He'll be fine" Chris said "He's made it out of tougher scrapes,
he'll find his own way out.
"Why did they use this on you?" Justine asked, holding up the tail
end of the severed webbing before helping Jayne to free herself.
"Who knows?" Jayne said "They could have killed me by the time I
made it through the doors, and I thought that other one was going
to, until Dante yelled my Surname.."
"Harris…" came a voice over Chris' radio "This Captain Chrysler" it
was the Jay from BD Prime. "Wherever you are you need to get your
team out of there, the bugs are boarding ships and abducting my
counterparts…everyone else is being killed."
"Captain, we know they just attacked us here and tried to capture
Jayne…any idea why?"
"Where are you?"
"Dwarf #562"
"The opposite sex one yeah?"
"Yep"
"Then they probably mistook her for that ships version of me..keep
her safe"
"Will do sir"
"Wait!" said Justine "They're capturing Chryslers?"
"So it would seem"
"No wonder they're here! With her aboard we have three of them!"
"Three?"
"Yes! You're version of Jayne, our Captain Jayne, and her clone…Jay…"
"Then we'd better get to them before the bugs do!"
<tag anyone who want's to be a part of the team – we need to fight
our way through the Hymies to get to the captain..oh, and rescuing
Dante wouldn't hurt either>
