OOC - Buy a scale model of a Blue Dwarf Blue Midget!

OOC - I don't normally post links here to Red Dwarf merchandise, but
this one is quite special. It is a scale model of a Red Dwarf Blue

Now look very closely. It actually has our Blue Dwarf logo on it, not
the Red Dwarf one!! Grant sent me this link earlier and it really
shocked me. I am really surprised to see this, at first I was
wondering how has this Phillipines-based scale model company got this
wrong?!!
But I think I know. Several years ago for a university project I
created the Blue Dwarf Blue Midget in 3D using 3D Studio Max, it's
the one that I've used all over the BlueDwarf.co.uk website for
years, and any posters, images for BD, including the video that's on
youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-c_NRRTEp4).
The model I made was based on pictures fro mthe Red Dwarf VIII book,
and since there are no technical drawings available I made a few
mistakes in copying the ship which you can only really notice when
you pay close attentione. Like the real BM is a bit fatter at the
bottom whilst mine is quite cylindrical.
This scale model on ebay is the exact same one that I made!!! Which
means they are ripping me off somewhat, although I just think it's
hilarious as every single one they sell will say "Blue Dwarf" on it!
They are selling them at a pretty steep price, and with £38.90
posting to the uk, I think I'll give it a miss. Would be nice to be
getting a percentage of that!
