*Action* - "How many Blue Dwarf's?!!"

OOC – Well done to Justin who has just posted an excellent intro for
this Action post which I will jump on and totally hijack for the
purpose of making this post go a bit faster.

The JMC Blue Dwarf sat parked just outside of Jupiter, with a
thousand miles of scaffolding around it, with hundreds of JMC
Engineers trying to give the ship a bit of a clean, and remove the 1
metre thick layer of crud that had build up around the ship over all
these years. Unfortunately they soon realised that the crud was the
only thing keeping it together, so left it as it was actually
stronger than the densest of metals.

Who: Justin Pancake, Lester Seventeen-Dot-Philips and Callum Kochanski
Where: Corridor Nivelo 5, behind some porn shop
When: A few minutes before
"Kinetically Neutralised Octagonal Battery? This just gets better and
better!"
Lester snatched it off him. "Don't touch it! You're a useless
Engineer!"
Lester placed it back into the slot where it came from, then backed
away quickly. Sparks flew from the Kinetically Neutralised Octagonal
Battery and the whole thing glowed unhealthily.
Justin's eyes widened. "You did that, not me."
"I did not!"
"Is it going to blow up?"
"I'm not sure." Said Lester.
"Is what going to blow up!" Moaned a voice from under a console in a
Glaswegian accent.
Justin and Callum spent the next 15 minutes ignoring the man who
stank of beer, curry and his own body fluids (and a few wet solids),
until he told them he was their boss and signed their paychecks.
"Terribly sorry sir!" They both echoed and saluted instantly.
The Kinetically Neutralised Octagonal Battery continued to fizzle and
spark, and then exploded with a pulse of light that spread out for
almost a mile away from the Blue Dwarf.
"This can't be good." Said Lester. Hoping it didn't affect his first
paycheck.

Where: The German Research Station on Thebe
When: Same time
Thebe was the 4th closest moon to Jupiter. It didn't have many
exciting things there, one was a mediocre theme park with the only
log flume to use water in it's gaseous state. The other was a German
Research station, a place where Germans could research... things.
Klaus Vimmer was in charge of monitoring unusual things in the area
that day. He had to check his satellite readouts twice to make sure
he was reading them correctly.
"Hans, Hans!" He called out.
"Klaus, I don't care. Whatever it is, I don't care." Hans called back
with the thickest German accent believable.
"But Hans! Something odd has just happened near the Jupiter repair
yards."
"Klaus, I don't care."
"But Hans! I think a ship has just torn a hole in the fabric of
space."
"Klaus, I don't care."
"But Hans! It is creating a inter-dimensional crossing in space.
Parallel universes are colliding."
"Klaus... look. I really don't care if – wait. What did you say?"
"Look Hans! We have always suspected there to be an infinite number
of parallel universes... they all seem to be colliding in this one
point."
Hans finally looked interested. "You're correct Klaus!"
Klaus beamed in delight.
"It is pulling several objects through. What is that? A big blue
spacecraft?"
"Two big blue spacecrafts... no – three!"
"Four... no... six. They are really big, I hope there is enough room
in this solar system!"

Who: Jay Chrysler
Where: Blue Dwarf, Meeting room
When: A short time after
Jay sat in the Meeting room with a sheepish-looking Lester, and
Justin there, and a very hungover Chief Engineer Callum Kochanski.
Jay had been on the best holiday of his life when he'd been called
back to the Blue Dwarf. Apparently becoming Captain opens all sorts
of doors, especially the door to a special Space Corps Captain's
resort on Titan, where he had been relaxing in the sun and being
served cocktails by girls in skimpy bikinis.
Now he had been pulled back to reality. Although out of the window it
looked like several realities.
Almost 10 duplicate Blue Dwarf's say out of his window.
"Would someone like to explain what is going on?" he asked.
"Well there is this K.N.O.B right... " started Justin.
"Excuse me?"
"Kinetically Neutralised Octagonal Battery. It's part of the
P.E.N.I.S."
"What?!" Jay didn't know that becoming a Captain meant that he would
have to learn everything about every aspect of the Blue Dwarf. "Can
you just tell me what's going on please?"
Callum pushed Justin and Lester aside, and showed jay a very
complicated diagram. "The K.N.O.B is acting like a magnet. It's
opened up all these doors to parallel universes and started pulling
Blue Dwarf's from alternate realities to this place in time and
space."
"So... all those Blue Dwarf's out there are all inhabited by people
like us?"
Callum shrugged. "They are all from different parallel universes.
They're either just the same as us, but maybe one thing in their
universe is different, or they could be totally different."
Jay took a deep breath. "Will any more turn up?"
Callum shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "I fixed the K.N.O.B and it
seemed to stop pulling them through.... but the thing is...."
Justin interrupted. "The thing is... all of the K.N.O.B's on those
other ships have broken too. So they're all going to pull more and
more Blue Dwarf's through!"
Jay stroked his forehead. This wasn't what he needed in his first
week as Captain. It was bad enough having one Blue Dwarf to contend
with, not an infinite amount.
"Get a team ready to go, and take a Starbug to the closest Blue
Dwarf. We'd better get started fixing these Kinetically Neutralised
Octagonal... thingies."
Callum, Lester and Justin nodded.

A Starbug headed towards the closest Blue Dwarf.
The background of space was blotted out by almost 20 more Blue
Dwarf's now. Most of them were absolutely identical to their own, but
some were slightly different, like they were a darker shade of Blue,
or had more weapons and equipment added onto the outside. Some were a
totally different shape, and some were so badly damaged that it was
unclear if anyone even lived there.
The flight deck opened and they flew in.
<Tag – This is very open to interpretation so far, but thought it
might be fun for some creativity. Remember that each Blue Dwarf is
from a different parallel universe so will have an alternate version
of your character. The differences are up to you! I haven't specified
who is on this mission, just add yourself if you want to join in. >
