Niples - "Jenny's village" pt2

Who: Seymour, Justin Pancake, and some disgruntled Eniram
Where: North of the Capitol city, Mollopod planet
When: After that annoying shapeshifter was shot

"So who shot him?" Justin said, before Seymour quietened the man down
again.
</snip>
They didn't have to wait very long until they knew the answer, as
something came out of the jungle. It was a team of several creatures
with webbed hands and feet, and gills on their fat fish-like necks.
"Who are they? Creatures from the black lagoon?" Asked Justin.
"It's the Eniram." Seymour said, sounding genuinely shocked.
"But I thought they are our allies against the Krylons?"
"They are. Well... they are jolly well supposed to be!"
"Why are they here?"
The Eniram closest to them called out. It slurred it's words and
gargled as it spoke. "I can hear you. Come out with your hands up!"
Seymour was the first to stand up quickly. His hands clearly in the
air so there was no confusion. "We surrender under the terms stated
in the Space Corps diplomatic treaty 388 paragraph 2."
The fierce looking Eniram soldier instantly looked confused. "388
paragraph 2? All delegates of the diplomatic treaty must shower
before attending a conference, apart from the quantum-based pseudopod
from the 8th quadrant, who on religious grounds should just spray
themselves with deodorant?"
"Yes." Seymour said without a doubt. "No... wait... "
Justin shook his head.
"How does a slimy Eniram know the diplomatic directives better than
me?"Seymour said. "No offence."
The Eniram wiped the wetness from his fish-like face. "None taken.
We're actually just patrolling this area... the Mollopods were having
a problem with a band of polymorphic rebels which they
wanted 'removing'."
"So you're working for the Mollopods?" Asked Seymour.
"Yes. We're in an alliance now."
"I know!" Seymour said matter of factly. "I was there when we set it
up. I thought... I thought you were going to kill us!"
"No. It would be against treaty 10.2 of the
Mollopod/Eniram/Aeron/Antinoptera alliance we just formed."
"Aha, you mean 11.2!" Seymour accused.
"No! I mean 10.2."
"Stop doing that!"
The Eniram soldiers all dropped their guns and walked over casually.
"But you killed my friend!" Said Justin.
"My mistake." Said the Eniram leader. "We mistook him for a rebel."
"But he was harmless. He was my friend. In exchange for drugs."
The Eniram apologised and introduced himself as "Sii Zhure". He shook
their hands with his slimy, webbed paw and showed them around the
small village that they had cleared of all rebels. The locals seemed
to live fairly basic lives, they had simple houses that seemed to be
empty, the Eniram assumed that they could shape-shift into anything
they needed.
"I'm looking for a girl." Seymour said.
"Aren't we all." Sii sighed.
"Jolly funny. No, it's a specific girl. She's English and has medium-
length red hair. She had a baby, but then fell into a coma and was
kidnapped from me."
"Is this how human women are treated?" Said Sii with a fishy
laugh. "You should have let her be kidnapped before she had the baby,
then you wouldn't be hassled with bringing up the child alone."
"Oh that's okay, the baby was kidnapped too." Said Seymour, "by some
kind of evil Corporation. But that's a different story."
Sii wasn't keeping up, but encouraged Seymour to finish. "This
woman... you say she had red hair correct?"
"Yes."
"You mean on her head?"
"Yes of course!"
"Apologies. I am unused to Human anatomy. Did she have a weak build,
and hair that curled around her ears, giving the impression she has
sideburns."
"Well... yes. I suppose so." Seymour said. "So you have seen her?"
"No. But does that statue over there look like her?"
Seymour looked to where Sii's webbed finger was pointing.
"Goodness gracious! You are correct! That statue looks just like her!"
He ran over. "These people must have worshipped her as some kind of
leader... or God. But... it's so... old. About a hundred years."
"You have a thing for older women eh?" Said Sii with a laugh.
"No! She was actually... younger than me... by quite a number of
years."
"Pervert!" Said Sii. "Only joking. I have many shoals of children
with much younger fish than myself."
Justin's eyes widened as he thought of the horrors of Eniram
consummation.
"But I don't understand. Why is there a statue of Jenny Bond a
thousand light years away from Earth?"
