AKJ- 'The right motivation'
Who: Andy, Kara, Johnny
Where: Starship Axolotl
When: 2 seconds after the previous post

"He was a pilot on the Dwarf." Kara replied.
"Maybe he can fly this ship to the Mollopod planet." Andy mused.
"He should - he has flown the Blue Dwarf."
"But he looks in real bad shape."
"Don't worry, I'll motivate him." Kara whispered back.
<End snip>
"Just don't hurt him." Andy muttered cynically before pressing back
into the masterkey's holographic GUI. He only stopped to add. "The
only way women from the Blue Dwarf seem to know how to 'motivate' men
is either to whip off their blouse or shot them in the knee caps."
A nearby explosion of a turret that went nuclear gave the pilot
inspiration.
"Which reminds me, do *you* need motivation?" Kara replied in a sultry
tone before indicating towards her laser rifle.
"Fifty/ fifty chance... nope... I think I'm quite motivated!!" The
janitor replied in a somewhat higher pitched voice.
"Good boy. Now keep digging for info about Blue Dwarf in the files. Oh
yeah, and Andy?" She paused and asked the hacker softly.
"...Yes?"
"We're even." With that, the pilot turned and moved over to John's side.
Kara couldn't help but feel slightly irked at Andy's comment. Was he
saying that she could only convince someone by threatening them or
trying to seduce them? What a prick! Still, she could admit that she'd
known a few girls like that in the academy. Unlike them, Kara was a
solider. Not some homicidal harlot.
Her green eyes hardened as she laid eyes back on John, a thick blue
jacket atop and dark brown slacks below. It'd been years since she'd
seen him. Just one day he was there and then he was gone. How did
something like that happen? Seymour said he'd jumped ship with Eric.
Had the Krylons kidnapped them after all this time? Just one look at
John's face was proof enough for her.
John used to be a nice guy. True she never really got to know him. But
he was the kinda guy who'd look after you or back you up in a fight...
or at least be the designated driver without pissing himself stupid.
Now...
His face was mutilated. There was nothing else to say about. Although
he was no Elvis incarnate, John was once a handsome enough man that it
hurt Kara to see him as he was now. His gnarled hands checked up on
the seemingly comatose Eric.
Eric was little better. A long white jumpsuit wrapped around his body.
The private eye's hair had grown long and tangled around his
shoulders. Although his face didn't look like it'd gone through a
blendtec, John still had one up on him by not being a vegetable.
Kara gently touch John's shoulder, who flinched but didn't knock her
away. "Johnny... what happened?"
John's torn face looked back up at her with a pale expression.
"Not...now... not until Eric is safe."
The hologramatic pilot genetly eased herself into a crouched position.
"Johnny... we need you to pilot this ship."
If he heard her he didn't seem to care. "It's my fault Kara... it's my
fault Eric's like this."
"I've got something here!" Andy belted out over the two. "Nothing on
the Dwarf yet, but I've got some battle plans. They're going for the
Mollopod home world first." The Cleaner didn't seem too
sensationalised that they'd DARE attack a planet of disgusting smelly
slobs that wanted to eat him.
"I wouldn't say anything otherwise but it looks like they're planning
to use to planet as a foot hold before Earth retaliates."
Kara nodded slowly. "So you think we ought to ice them before they get
settled?" Andy gave a wolfish grin. "Yeah... and if a *Krylon*
flagship just happens to *accidently* vapourise a few Mollopod
settlement. Well... war's hell, you know?"
The hologram returned the Hacker's evil smile with one of her own.
"I'm a bad influence on you Andy. We ought to hang around more often.
Just remember to scan the surface first, try not to hit anyone we like."
She turned back to John, this time place either of her hands on both
of his shoulders. "Please Johnny... we need your help. If you don't
help us then Eric will die for certain."
This seemed to be the magic words.
John's head snapped up and fixed a steely stare at her. Kara blinked
as she saw a familiar glint return to her fellow pilot's eyes.
"Just show me the controls..."
"Andy! Where are the ship controls?" The Scottish lass asked with a
smile in both her face and her voice.
"Just a second... I'm loading some hologramatic controls in the centre
of the bridge." Andy replied, his fingers working furiously at the
flax keypad in front of him.
Within seconds, six shafts of light directed themselves into the
middle of the room. A dark purple display shimmered into existence.
Familiar, if not a little simplistic, controls appeared in Johnny's
hands.
At first Kara was worried that he wouldn't be able to get his head
around holographic controls but she was even more taken aback as the
missing pilot took to them like he'd trained with them for most of his
life.
"Co-ordinates?" Johnny gave a short barking question.
Andy was already ready for the question. "Co-ordinates are, ten point
nine six degrees right, 1000m kilometres forward. Make adjustments for
supernova at 30M Kay-M."
"Understood, engaging warp in three...two...one-."
<Tagging.... someone?>
OOC: Orbital bombardment; YEAH BABY!
