Seymour - \"TransMed Pharmaceuticals\" part 2

Who: Seymour
Where: Titan
When: After meeting with Dr Nettles
Seymour hated flying on public interstellar transport. The passenger
transports had a top speed of lightspeed, but they never went above
half, in case of future echoes. It seemed that they weren't equipped
with temporal deflectors.
Seymour was in such a hurry to get back to Titan to protect his baby
that he bribed the pilot to go faster. He hated having to do that, not
from a moral standpoint, but because he was extremely tight.
The clunky spaceship skidded down the runway and almost collided with
the spaceport main building. "I say old boy, I told you to go fast,
not reckless." Seymour said.
"I got carried away sir." said the pilot.
Seymour disembarked, and stole one of the small vehicles used for
moving spaceships around on the runway. He drove through the streets
of Titan like a madman until he got to the Zero-gravity crèche where
he had left his daughter. He ran in and spoke to the woman on
reception who was wearing too much make-up.
"I'm here to collect Alota Niples" he said, panting.
The woman checked her records. "I'm sorry Mr Nipples but it says you
picked her up forty minutes ago."
"What?!"
If Seymour had been a more violent person he would have grabbed the
woman and shaken her to death for being so incompetent. Instead he
fell to his knees clutching as his head and screamed. Then he vowed to
write a narky blog post about this place.
He walked sullenly back to his stolen car and sulked. His only
daughter had been kidnapped by a medical company. He thought of all
the testing and poking and prodding they might do to her.
He leaned forward on the steering wheel. He thought about Jenny, was
she really an alien? He had always assumed she was human, and now felt
silly for never asking if she wasn't.
A sudden panic came over him, maybe they had taken Jenny too? He raced
the the Hospital and burst into the room where she had been for the
last few weeks.
Normally, he had to prepare himself to see her with all the pipes and
tubes going in and out of her body, but today he just barged straight
in without thinking.
The room was empty.
Seymour put a hand up to his face. They had taken them both, mother
AND daughter. He sat down, he had no-one left.
