Reasoning...
Kara McGellen sat in the lone dark room with two soldiers standing by her to make sure she didn't move. After she had rounded up the information pertaining to previous Blue Dwarf crew members the Space Corp had her nabbed for risking and endangering the position of a higher ranking officer. Of course the two MP's wouldn't have been necessary had she not put up a fight. She glared over at the one MP who was holding a holo-whip. He looked down at her and she looked away. She certainly wasn't looking forward to another lashing. A simple light went on revealing the board of judges who were to prosecute her. "You are a very respected and highly recognized member of the Space Corp. We did not expect such behaviour from you." One judge said. Kara stood up and the two MP's flinched."From the old me of course. But my perspectives have changed since I was reinstated on the Blue Dwarf. I've learned more after my death about life then I knew before when I was alive." She said. The judges looked at her strangely, one of them even shook their head. Kara even had to stop for a moment and go over what she said to make sure that's what she meant. "So by what reasoning should you be kept functional?" A judge asked."Cause I know I'm not done yet." Kara replied. "Not good enough. Clarify that statement." Another judge ordered. Kara looked down at the floor for a moment to think. Simply not being done with her hologrammatic life didn't mean anything to these people. She didn't want to stop. Life without exploring the great expanses of space would be meaningless. Not being able to fly her own Starbug to strange new planets and see new things or to defend her own crew mates in time of need. These are the things that seemed to make her life meaningful. Friends, fun, exploration, to see new sights, blasting space scum, and being able to kick back with a drink at Parrots. Nothing else seemed to measure up to life on the Blue Dwarf. "Pilot Kara McGellen! State your reason!" A judge demanded. "Why did it have to stop?! Why did you take it away? I didn't have any friends or much of a life until I joined their crew. Even all that time in the Space Corp I didn't feel useful until then. I just want to go back." Kara said. The judges all looked at her unsure of what to do. Kara took a deep breath and closed her eyes to cool down for a moment. "So are you requesting to be switched off?" One judge asked. "No." Kara replied. "Well until a reason for your continued run-time is brought forward you will be put into hologrammatic stasis. The only reason your run-time will be continued is if a previous crew member or otherwise brings up a legitimate reason for your hologram to remain functional." A judge said. <Tag.
