*Action* - "Almost completely snapped off"

Who: Captain Jed Calvert
Where: Drive Room
When: As the SC Oath Keeper crashed into them
Captain Calvert was surrounded by armed guards. He knew that his
decisions lately had made him unpopular so had started offering to
pay people triple their salary if they'd not mutiny.
The atmosphere in the Drive-room was tense. Most people there either
believed in Calvert's cause, or were greedy for the extra money they
were being promised, or they were just totally simple and didn't even
know what was going off. This accounted for Efof, who hummed a joyful
tune to himself and didn't wonder at all why the Captain suddenly
needed an extra ten armed guards.
Efof looked at the Sensor computer as his four arms typed on two
keyboards at once. He stopped humming and stood up suddenly, waving
his arms around.
"What is it Efof?" The Captain asked angrily.
A violent crash threw Efof over Calvert's head, and threw most of the
crew to their feet. The lights flickered and turned red, and several
computers in the room erupted into flames. Efof fell onto a tray of
paper and scattered it over himself.
Calvert was the only person who seemed to have regained his footing,
all those years of rodeo riding were practice for this very
moment. "Actually Efof, never mind." He asked, as he looked out of
the window and saw the Blue Dwarf had a new appendage, with hull
markings saying "The SC Oath Keeper".
"Shall I order an emergency evacuation sir?" Efof asked, then
paused. "Actually we don't have any shuttles left do we..."
"Don't git smart with me kid." Calvert spat back. "Damage report?"
Efof looked around. He wanted to just point to everything and
say "lots". But it looked like Jed wanted a more detailed answer. The
alien shook his computer screen. "Erm... the damage report machine is
broken Captain."
"Are yer trying t' be smart with me booyyy?" Jed said, pulling his
gun in the blue alien and making his cower. The screen flickered to
life and Efof could see the shape of the ship intermittently. "We
are... a bit shorter."
"What?"
"We're a bit shorter! Look, the back end has almost completely
snapped off."
Jed gritted his teeth. "Are the comms working?"
Efof nodded.
Jed grabbed the microphone and talked to the entire crew. "Listen up
yer bunch of slackers, this is yer Captain speakin'. A few weeks ago
ah had a dream, it was magnificent. It brought this ship and this
crew fame and riches. A ship just crashed into us that wants to kill
that dream. They are not here to save us, they are here to kill us. I
want you to fight them with all your might!"
Efof raised a hand tentatively. "Um... Captain?"
Jed scowled and reached for his pistol to pull on the insubordinate
alien.
"I... I just don't understand something. I know i'm new to Humanity
and everything but... they're humans... and you're humans..."
"Your point?"
Efof shrugged. "None really."
"Good."
The voice of Chief Engineer Callum Kochanski crackled over the
radio. "Captain, Captain we have a problem!"
"I know we do Lieutenant. Yer about to tell me we have 20,000 tonnes
of spaceship stuck in your engines and you want them removed right?"
"Actually no sir. Well, yes. But that's not the problem."
Jed grunted for him to continue. "Theres a gas leaking from the Oath
keeper ship, it's flooding the ship."
Jed slapped his forehead. "Is it dangerous?"
"Yes sir. It's high-density unstable cyclosium, this model of
starship uses it as a catalyst for it's faster than light technology."
"IS IT DANGEROUS?"
After a pause, Callum replied. "Yes sir. It makes you bleed from the
eyes and puke from your ears. Then it makes your brain leaks out of
your nose."
"Oh."
"Although... "
"Go on."
"We might be lucky, it might be cyclosium B."
"Is that better?"
"No. Well ask Dr Keto for the full symptoms, but it's not as fatal.
It just makes your penis fall off and try to eat you."
Jed slammed the phone down and swallowed hard. "Git Doctor Keto to
prepare the medibay."
