"Fun with Tasers" Part 4

Rosette barrel-rolled again so she was closer to them. "How big are
these robots?"
"Remember the lifter things Ripley used to fight the Queen at the end
of Alien 2…?"
Rosette nodded and Seymour shrugged. "If it's not a musical I've not
seen it." He admitted.
"…Well it's like those except automated and fitted with drills,
jackhammers and chainsaws."
"Ah." Said Seymour.

"well hey... at least they'd be quite slow, right?" Rosette
suggested, and dearly hoped.
"Yes... kind of..." Rufus admitted, "Slow in terms of moving their
arms... but rather fast when it comes to... chasing people..."
"Smeg" said Seymour and Rosette simultaneously.
"Still, it's got to be better than all those scutters, who have
ranged weapons, right?" asked Rosette. "that place gets my vote."
***About 15 minutes later***
"Oh MAN! i've got engine oil on my jacket.." whined seymour, trying
to brush it off, but just getting oil on his hand.
"Shhh" said Rosette, indicating the rather large robots that seemed
to be all around them. They crept past them, hoping Mk.10's sensors
or link to the ship wouldn't spot them down here.
**meanwhile, in the launch bay**
"Whats this?" Mk.10 asked himself. "people sneaking around?"
He activated the giant robots, and told them to destroy anything
that moved...
"Stop!" said Rufus, as he heard a clunk, and a whirr. "they're
moving" he said, looking up at the biggest of the robots. "we've
been spotted..."
"So lets get out of here!!" Seymour suggested, trying to make a
beeline for the large exit at the other end of the hall. Rosette
watched him, and sighed.
"the labs that way, isn't it?" asked Rosette, pointing the opposite
direction that Seymour just ran. Rufus Nodded. "How did you know? i
haven't seen you around much before.. so i'd assume you're quite
new.."
"Have you ever wanted to get rid of seymour?" she asked, receiving a
nod in reply. "I was hoping it was that way." she added, smiling.
The two began to make a move towards the proper exit, using Seymour
as a decoy.
