OOC - New scientist "Dr. Norman Philip Masterley"

Everyone give a warm welcome to our new 'Chief Astrogeometrist' in the
science dept, Dr. Norman Philip Masterley. Who I think is the first
scientist I've ever heard of with dreadlocks!

Physical Appearance
Norman is a 7'2", slim, muscular man with three distinguishing
features. First, he has long dreadlocks the colour of a pumpkin with
high blood pressure. Second, he has a tattoo of the entire squad of
the "MK Starbursts" 0-g football team (he's second from the left in
the top row) on his right arm. Third, he has a scar from a pub brawl
when someone glassed him in the face. The result was his nickname
amongst the commentators - Normy Two Grins.
Personality and Interests
Norman's hobbies include painting model ships, playing draughts,
revising for his third Ph.D, and practising shooting with his
crossbow. He's a quiet, easy-going, likeable man with a stubborn
streak a mile wide and a strong sense of honour and duty.
History
Norman used to play Nose Tackle for the MK Starbursts, and was
something of a tearaway until he had an epiphany involving a massive
bar fight, some marijuana gin and a bantamweight boxer called Gerald.
A gifted mathematician, he went into higher education, got two Ph.Ds
from the Milton Keynes Academy for Extreme Cleverness, and became
interested in the Space Corps. He wishes to apply his astrogeometry in
actual space, as otherwise it's (according to him) just "a piece of
paper and 6 wasted years".
