"Now, if you'll excuse me," Chris said, straightening his
shirt, "I'm going to go see if I can catch a few more hours of sleep
before someone else interrupts me." With that, he pushed and shoved
his way out of the bar and back to his quarters.
"So long, Chief!" Nik replied, even though he was long since out of
earshot. He turned to Jack and said, "Well, as much as I'd like to
spend the rest of my week drinking myself into a durnken stupor,
I've got personal business to attend to." He got up, with his mug
in hand, and took a step towards the door.
"What kind of business?" Jack replied before he could walk away,
suspicious of more of his strange behavior.
Rachin immediately whipped the glass at a wall, nearly missing a bar
patron. "For one, sleeping," he grimaced. Which, of course, was a
lie; he intended to snoop around outside the ship.
Jack, however, didn't believe a word of it, but instead of drawing
suspicion, he decided to say, "Hey, watch where you throw those
things! We're supposed to stop fights, not incite them!" Looking
at the startled drunk, He added, "And I'm nearly certain that comes
out of your pay."
Nikola, who was usually an introverted person, had gone into a fit
of rage and stormed out of the bar. Jack knew he was up to
something, but couldn't quite decide whether to follow him or search
his quarters. "Eh, I'll decide over another round. Barkeep!"
Meanwhile, Rachin was already in his quarters, having taken the X-
press, and rather inconsiderately walked right over a few
passersby. He tore open one of his bags (Which he had still not
unpacked) and pulled out a wad of cash. Counting the bills, he
walked out of his room.
