Where: Outside New Earth
When: Just after Jack opens fire

"Thank Christ!" Shouted Marwood. He also distinctly heard Keto
say '...oh God not him.' Pete continued, "Well we havn't been able
to contact the vessel. Not taken much damage, the cure is still in
one piece but Jay's in severe danger of breaking a sweat here Jack."
Pete grinned. He heard Jay shout an expletive and tell Nikola
to keep firing.
"Right. I'll see if I can annoy them a little and maybe distract
them enough for you to get down there?" Phantom prodded the console
until he found one that armed the weaponry, accidentally launching a
few missiles, and headed into the fray.

Nikola Was at his post, keeping on the French warship with
constant fire. He'd never operated weapons on a starship before,
but apparently the dozens of weekends at the arcade and bags of
quarters stolen from parking meters spent as a child finally paid
off. However, millions of dollars spent for warship development
paid off even more on the Frenchmen's part.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a missile with a spasmic path shot and
rammed itself into to the warship. A gratuitous eruption followed,
however the warship was not punctured but merely dented. Its guns
stalled momentarily as they turned towards the Space Eagle.
Nikola turned to the rest of the crew. The look on his face could
be compared to that of a child's who had recieved a new toy. "That's
what I'm talking about! Now if only we could get some of tho-" A
second missile shot directly past the Starbug. Its fin scraped the
bow of the bug and the ship rocked. The missile sped past, heading
towards New Earth. Marwood scrambled to get a link with Jack as
Nikola sunk back into his chair and the rest of the crew stared in
shock.
"Jack? Jack!" Marwood yelled. "Christ, Jack, you could've gotten
us all killed!"
"Sorry, Pete, it's my first time flying one of these things," Jack
staggered, the ship jerking him hard left as he avoided fire.
"Well, the good thing is that you've got the ship's attention and
we can gun it for New Earth, assuming that whoever or whatever is
aboard that ship didn't call for reinforcements," Marwood began
turning the ship towards its destination. "I don't want to stay with
these mor-er, delay the mission any further."
