Vanessa, who was running ahead of Phil, stopped when she saw him collapse behind her. She spun on her heel and ran back, grabbing Phil by the feet and began to drag him back toward the shuttles.
Phil bounced along behind her, as she was a hologram, and as such didn't feel exhaustion his weight didn't particuarly slow her down and she leted as fast as she could back to the starbugs, Phil's head happily ricocheting off rocks  and tree stumps as she ran, oblivious.
 
The shuttles were parked a few miles away, and as Vanessa crossed the halfway point, she realised Phil was no longer with her. Looking back into the distance, she could see Phil lay bent double backward over a rather pointy looking rock she had passed a few minutes back. She shook her head and ran back to pick him up again, but her hand's passed straight through him.
"Smeg!" she moaned, and tried to switch back to Hardlight.
In her field of vision came a battery icon, indicating her battery was low and she needed to recharge her light bee. "Dammit!" she muttered "Knew I forgot to do something last night!" Her bee automatically switched back to soft light again, to conserve power. 
Phil looked pretty uncomfortable, the point of the boulder jutting painfully into the small of his back, his head near the ground and his legs akimbo. He was bloody and battered from his high-speed impact's with pretty much EVERY obstacle between here and the weapons store.
"Need a hand?" came a voice, running up beside her. It was the guy from the shuttle who had been looking at her weirdly the whole flight. "Rufus FeBuggure" he introduced, more confidently than he would normally be able to speak to a woman, possibly as he knew she'd be unable to belt him one if she didnt like him. "He's my dad..." he explained, as he hoisted Phil up onto his shoulder, "You know..he used to be a hologram, like you..."
"Really?" Vanessa replied "Jay never told me that" 
"Dad doesn't like people knowing really....." Rufus said, exhausted already...damn Amber and her getting all of the Physical ability DNA! 
"So why are you telling me?"
"Well.....because I might be able to help you the same way I did Dad...."
"What do you mean.."
"I'll explain later, say, over dinner?" Rufus was stunned. He'd never been able to ask a girl out before.
"Sure.." said Vanessa, intrigued, but not picking up on the whole "Date" thing. "But now we gotta get your Old man back to the shuttle so I can take a look at him..."
"How'd he get so battered anyway?"
"No reason...."

"I have no idea what's going on, but I don't want to stay around here to find out!" Jay called to everyone in the building. "I recommend grab a weapon now and lets get back to the shuttles." 
 
Phil, who was waiting outside suddleny felt a pressure on his head
 
Looking up he came face to face El Pablo Diablo..the devils own chicken...who promptly nutted him
 
The almost last last thing Phil saw before once again, lapsing into blissful sleep was MP trying to vialote a chicken
 
The next last thing saw was, literllay his own life, with all his meories coming back in one flood, overloading his synapes and pushing him into land of nod
