Who: Amber
When: After my last post
Where: New France

Amber taxied the Eurobomber up the runway, desperatly trying to ignore
the twisting feeling in her guts. She didn't want to do this, the job
in hand, bombing an innocent village. It was too like the person that
she had been, the thought of killing all these people scared her, made
her think that she was going to turn towards that blackness again.
The Eurobomber thundered down the runway and rocketed into the air.
Amber pulled it into a sharp turn and buzzed the controll tower out of
shear annoyance. She flew so low over it that a coffee cup fell over
and shorted out the electronics. She laughed and set the flight
co-ordinates for the doomed village south of New Paris.
It was a simple task, but the twisting nest of snakes in Amber's gut
was making it impossible to press the small red button on the controll
stick. She turned the plane into another swooping circle of the
village and switched off the radio, the babbling telling her to get on
with it was beginning to grate on her already fried nerves.
-----
A few chickens, originally humans were wandering around confused. A
little girl ran out into the street to pick up the ball she had just
dropped. She ran back to the path and called out to her parents.
"Mama. That plane is still flying around." She said, pointing to the
Eurobomber that was Amber's craft.
"Quiet honey and get inside!" Her mother said, ushering the child
inside as a chicken began to draw closer to the house.
-----
Amber closed her eyes and pushed the 'bomber into a steep dive,
readying the fire button with one hand she swallowed and pressed the
trigger. The plane made a perfect run over the village, unloading its
deadly cargo onto the unsuspecting villages. The village burst into a
cloud of flames and rubble, and being destroyed in one fell blow.
Tears began to roll down Ambers face as she banked and made a sweep of
the village, fiing off gatling guns to mop up the survivors. She
howled in anger at herself and in pain and grief at killing so many
innocent people.
"I'm not like that! I'm not!" She yelled. Hammering the ship in a turn
back towards New Paris. She sobbed into the controls as the airoplane
drew closer to the runway. She wanted to hurt the men who had made her
do this, terrified that they would make the darkess that swept over
her soul come back.
The plane practically crash landed onto the runway, Amber's mind
almost torn appart with grief and worry at what she had done. All she
wanted to do was to get out and find someone from Blue Dwarf. She
tumbled out of the cockpit and ran off the airport grounds into New
Paris, hoping that she would find someone who she knew.
