When the Raven finally grinded to a halt, Chrizla jumped into
action. Ignoring the dull ache and the blood pouring out of his
head, he ran over to the Raven and tried to find the emergency
cockpit release switch. When he couldn't find one, he shouted for
Jessie; "Jessie! You know more about these things, help me out."
Jessie made her way over to him, clambering over the wreckage.
Suddenly, Chrizla heard groaning metal and saw a huge support strut
start to buckle, Jessie was right underneath it. "GET DOWN!" he
shouted, Jessie looked up and was rooted to the spot; "I'M COMING!"
Chrizla shouted again. He rugby-tackled Jessie out of the way, but
got himself trapped in the process; he cried out in pain and
splattered Jessie's face with blood. The support strut had gotten
Chrizla just above the waist, and Chrizla himself was pinning Jessie
down. They were just about face-to-face, so Jessie had to stare
into Chrizla's eyes; full of pain, adrenaline and releif. Relief
that he had saved Jessie.
