Don't go all Rogue Squadron on Me!

Who: Peter Marwood
Where: Space Eagle 6
When: After launching to Fight the Monster
The 5 Space Eagles, and the Hymenoptra Fighter, sped through Space
towards their intended target, A Giant Worm Creature the size of
Seymour's Ego. Despite the threat of Death, and the barrage of Red
Hot Laser's firing from the Dwarf, Peter was pretty excited to be
flying a Combat Mission.
"This is Blue Leader, all Ships report in" Came Jay's voice over the
Radio. After he'd received his new Ships, he had gone all Rogue
Squadron on them.
"Blue 2 here Jay" came Dean's bored voice.
"Blue 3 standing by" said Amber, in a rather serious tone
"Blue 4, Ready to Go!" Efof said in his usual hyper-happy voice
"Blue 5" said Kara "Let's stop wasting time and get out there and
bag us a Monster!"
"Blue 6, standing by" was all Peter had to say
"Ok people, let's go!" said Jay.
The Fighter's sped off at such a Speed so that they were at the
Beast in seconds, and firing before the Beast had known what had hit
it.
The Fighter's broke off to take the Beast from all sides, its Giant
Bulbous body squirming unnaturally in the ether. Jay Ship's weapons
gave it "an ass full of laser" as Captain Jed would say.
Peter & Efof went into a Binary Formation and managed to score a
direct hit on what appeared to be the creatures `mouth'. The
creature visibly recoiled at the shot.
Meanwhile, Amber was attacking the Monster from the port side, Her
ships advanced Hymenoptran Weaponry proving to be quite effective
against the Monster, this was probably down to them both being
organic. Or something.
At this point, the Monster decided to attack, namely by swishing its
tail about in a frenzied attempt to hit something. Most of the
Pilots dodged out of the way, with only Jay pulling off a near miss
trying to perform some show off manoeuvre. At this point, The
Battery of Fire from Blue Dwarf was really building up. Most of the
Defence Team Members had made it to their Stations and were giving
the Monster hell with the Giant Lasers.
So Far, Peter noted, the Monster had taken quite a beating, but
still showed no sign of death or stopping its attack. That meant it
was either incredibly Stupid.
Or it was planning something.
