OOC - wing of Space Eagles

OOC- hello everyone!
Yes, Peter Marwood has not gone crazy, we've talked about this and we
really have got a wing of Space Eagles as a permanent edition to play
with on the Blue Dwarf.
They can be used in any plot, we've introduced them to give more of a
fighting "feel" to certain subplots, many times we have had
ship-to-ship space battles or times when our support ships have had to
protect the 'Dwarf from incoming fighters. The SE's can be used in
these situations, they are short range ships, with very few seats (I
think the maximum we've ever mentioned seatedinside has been about 4)
Imagine them like RAF fighters, used for mainly military and action
missions, where a plump starbug would just look a bit daft! I've
always imagined that if we ever did a "bombing run", we'd use the
smaller, nippier Space Eagles to defend the fat, slow starbugs
containing the bombs.
I've never thought too much about what kind of weapons the SE's have,
maybe people can customise them as they want. We have a few members
who's job description would perfectly fit them being able to invent
new wespons for the SE's ( Alandra Alkiera:Weapons Inventor, Rufus
FeBuggure:Future Prototype Technology Inventor, Jessie
Carter:Pilot/Weapons expert, Kevn Fenard:Tactical Engineer etc!)
Other reasons for us including the SE's a bit more, is that if we ever
want to make pictures, comics, animations, movies about a storyline -
we have a certain issue with useing the Starbugs, as we might get
Grant Naylor on our backs again. But the Space Eagle is unique to BD,
so we're free to put it on the site as much as we want!
