"Hey, you shouldn't say that about yourself. And anyway, I prefer
people to be a bit odd. I mean, they'd be insanely boring if they
wern't." said Peter, holding Alandra in his arms.
"Thanks. you really know how to make a girl feel good dont ya" she
said, not at all cheered up getting slightly tectchy.
"hey, I didn't mean it like that, cheer up" he said, finishing his
pint.
Alandra rolled her drink around in her found before finishing it
herself.
"Well, im going to hit the sack" said Peter "I'll see you later, I
think Phil is organising shore leave for everyone, so perhaps we
could spend it together? I hear Io is nice this time of year." he
smiled happily at her.
"Yeah, i'd like that." Alandra replied cheerily, looking forward to
it.
Peter smiled back, and kissed her tenderly on the cheek. "I'll see
you tomorrow, organise it over brekfast?"
"Sounds perfect" she smiled and kissed him back.
They made their way out of Parrots, down the promenade to the
nearest Xpress Lift. They selected their relevant Decks, and set
off. Peter was the first to get off, he kissed Alandra and headed
for his Cabin. When he arrived, the Wall mounted screen was flashing
an incoming call.
"Play Call" he said, curious to who would be calling him
A rather short, old woman with A mass of Curly white hair, and a
ridiculously large hat, stared back at him.
"Ah" she said in a motherly voice "There you are you! How are you
dear? Where have you been? Why havent you visited me??"
"oh" he said "hello mum"
