If you're not on the list......

Who:- Jay, Amber, Peter, Mk 7, Callum, Chris and Canaries.
Where:- Aboard the Scorpion Bridge
When:- A few hours into the mission
Jay watched the outside view of the Hymenoptera craft intently in his
headset. Amber, with the second headset, had expertly piloted the ship this
far, and the Thorax, was in visual range.
"Take us in steady Amber, we don't wanna raise suspicions..." Jay said.
"What do ya think I'm doing fly-boy?" Amber snapped, her concentration
broken. "Hold on their hailing..."
"hsss, tttt thhhdisi tth wwwwoooofhfffffjjkssssst" came the voice of the
Hymenopteran fleet commander over the comm.
"Smeg" Amber said
"What?" Chris asked "What is it?"
"My counterpart just hailed us..." Amber replied "She's asking why they
can't read my thoughts..."
"So?!" Callum responded "Just tell them that you've been injured, and had
your hive link cut off"
"WHAT?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!" Amber yelled, whirling round to face Kochanski
"What do you mean?" Peter asked, being new to Hymenopteran combat.
"She cant respond" Jay said "No doubt the Amber, and indeed myself aboard
the the Thorax will recognise her voice..."
"Exactly" Amber responded.
"HSSSSS TTHEHEHEEIOO LLISSSTTT!!" came the voice again.
"What did they say?" asked Jay
"That if I dont respond, or connect to the hive they'll destroy us..."
Amber had already entered the clearance codes, before suspicion ahad been
raised and a landing bay on the Thorax' port side had opened to accomodate
them.
"No choice then..." Jay said "We're gonna have to gun it and hope were fast
enough to land before they can hit us!! FULL THROTTLE!"
The ship lurched, kicking in a full speed suddenly, throwing everyone
backwards. Jay, who was still watching the outside through his headset
"AMBER! STARBOARD!"
Amber rolled the alien craft violently to the port side, narrowly missing a
hymenopteran missle that skimmed the starboard side.
A few more of these manouveres followed Jay's commands as the Scorpion
thundered toward the Thorax' open shuttlebay.
"Jay!" Amber yelled "The hangar doors are closing!"
"KEEP GOING WERE ALMOST THERE!" came the reply.
Amber, did as ordered, and ploughed the Scorpion into the narrowing gap
between the doors, tearing off the ships claws, tail and landing gear as she
did so.
The Scorpion scraped violently across the floor of the hangar bay, rolling
over onto it's dorsal hull where it slowly skidded, upside down to a halt.
"Well. We're in!" said Jay "Told you this'd be easy!"
The crew glared at Jay.
"What?" he replied.
"Ok guys!" Ordered Chris, to both the officers and canaries aoard the ship
and tossing weapons to everyone on the bridge. "Expect heavy resistance"..
