Re: Not-so-swift retribution
<snip>Jessie relaxed immediatly, even going so far as to lie down
again. Then she looked up at him, an expression of recognition on her
face. "You're... Chrizla, aren't you?" He nodded, slightly puzzled.
She sat up, carefully, then calmly hit him, and Chrizla fell off his
chair for the second time in as many minutes. As he landed on the
floor, she said, in a satisfied tone, "No-one hits me for any reason
and gets away with it.">
Chrizla wiped the blood from his lip, "That's the second time today
you've hit me! Am I gonna have to get used to this?" "Yup!" Jessie
nodded, "I hit everyone I..." but she drifted off before she could
finish. Chrizla got up, set his chair straight and, as a mark of
understanding, put Jessie's gun under her pillow. He paused for a
moment, pondering something over in his head; he leanded over, and
gingerly kissed Jessie on her forehead, slightly worried that she
might wake up and think he was taking liberties. But she didn't, so
he was safe. He went back to sleeping in his chair.
