Defending the Dwarf

WHO: Peter & the voice of Dean
WHERE: Blue Dwarf, Space Eagle
WHEN: After Blue Dwarf jumped back in time, when the SC fleet is
attacking.
Alarm klaxons went off around Peter as he was making his way to the
A.R. Suite, to get in some training. But seeing as Blue Dwarf was
low on Pilots, he thought "what the hell, someone needs to take out
those ships" So, as quickly as he could he made his way back to the
Hanger area. There were three Space Eagles parked to one side, so he
decided to take one of them, "easier to take them out in a Space
Eagle rather than a Starbug" he thought.
Aside from basic VR training, and the few reconisance flights he had
flown (not including the battle of Earth) the only combat he had
seen was playing Star Wars: Rogue Leader when he was a teen.
Steadily taking the Space Eagle out, he headed in the direction of
the Space Corps fleet, hoping at least to take out a few of them.
Suddenly, the comn radio in front of him flared into life.
"Dean to Space Eagle 2, Come in Space Eagle 2. over" Came the voice
of Dean.
"Roger wilco, Dean. Its me Peter flying out here."
"Peter? I thought you were training in the VR suite."
"Yeah, well. A Red Alert is no time to be training."
"Are you sure you can handle and fly the Eagle?"
"100% certain, Well perhaps 95%"
"Peter, I don't want you get yourself killed. I'd probably have to
help dig the hole when they bury you. I ain't nobodies Grave digger"
"OKOKOK, point taken" Peter said, starting to get annoyed with
Dean's needless worrying.
"Well, join up with the rest of the fighters and try to take out any
of the 'enemy' fighters. Use the FOF (Friend or Foe) system to
differentiate."
"OK, Peter out" Peter signed off and came into formation with the
nearest group of Redshirt fighters, signalling to the leader that he
was joining up.
"Well" he said "Time to go kick some Smeg" he smiled.
His thrusters flared and he hurtled on towards the enemy.
