out." Jessie sat back and thought for a few minutes, then, for no
apparent reason got up and started taking off her uniform (not a BD one,
obviously, she hasn't got that yet. Actually it's a Space Corp pilot's
uniform missing the insignia).
"Um, I appreciate the offer, but is this really the time?"
Chrizla asked. "Idiot. Like I would want to." she retorted.
"Actually, I'm doing something constructive, like finding out if
they left us any of our weapons." with her back to him, she began
inspecting the seams of her shirt. " 'Concealed weapons' aren't kept
in plain sight you know. Ah, got it." Jessie carefully pulled
something out of a side seam. "Thought they wouldn't've found
this." "what is it?" he asked, as she finished getting
dressed again. "Miniature laser. Cuts through almost anything"
She grinned at him. "Pick a wall, any wall."
Ten minutes later...
"Well, I did say almost anything... try a different
wall"
