Chrizla paced up and down the cell, Jessie was becoming more and more
frustrated. "WILL YOU STOP THAT?" she roared at him, "HOW ABOUT 'NO'
JESSIE?" Chrizla shouted back. He and Jessie had been stuck in this
cell for over two hours now, and neither of them were happy with the
sleeping arrangements.
Jessie looked as if she was about to argue, but instead she punched
Chrizla in the mouth which sent him smack into the wall behind him.
Chrizla wiped the blood from his lip and swallowed, "Okay, I deserved
that." Chrizla admitted, "So, it looks like we're stuck here so we're
gonna have to make the best of it. Come to think of it, how did we
end up here anyway?" Jessie shrugged her shoulders, "All I remember
is us going to the bridge, rounding that corner, then nothing. I can
only think we were jumped from behind." Chrizla pondered this for a
while. "Must have been, cos we would have seen something otherwise."
he answered finally. "Look," Chrizla started, "I'm sorry for pissing
you off, I'm just stressed is all. And I know I'm not the easiest
person to get along with, that's mostly my fault."
He could see that Jessie was starting to understand, and thanked her
for not making him go into a long explanation. "What do you think we
should do?" he asked her, "Cos I'm stumped."
