2018 Simming Prize Winners Announced!

The Simming Prize dates back to 1999 in honoring the very best of the online role playing community.  Up to five Prizes are awarded annually to people, sims, clubs, and other organizations that (1) exemplify service, quality, and dedication within play-by-post online role-playing; or who (2) pioneer new technology or techniques within the community. The Prizes can recognize a significant onetime accomplishment, or sustained contributions over a period of time.  The Simming Prize is presented in the memory of longtime role player and leader Seth Cotis.

Simming Get Together IRL 2021

How would you like to meet other role players IRL? IRL stands for In Real Life, by the way. We do a lot together online–write stories, attend conventions, and generally hang out. What would it be like to meet outside of the Internet?

One week ago the entire role playing community came together for the 2019 Simming Fall Festival. it was a day full of provocative discussions, live role plays, and interactive trivia games.  It was outstanding from start to finish in every measure: A real testament to the power of our greater community.  Simply put, FallFest was incredible!

As we previously announced, the 2019 Simming Fall Festival (FallFest) will be held this Saturday. We’re proud to have 22nd Fleet serve as host and Andrew Greenfelt as chair. Here are 10 reasons why you should attend on the 9th:

  1. The entire simming and online roleplaying community will be together in online chat rooms for engaging discussions, interactive trivia games, and live chat role plays.
  2. Basically, we share ideas, information, and energy! 
  3. You’ll get to rub elbows with many prominent members of our community.  In fact, some of the most successful and influential role players and simming leaders in history will be attending and facilitating events.  Learn from the best!
  4. You’ll hear about the latest and most innovative techniques and strategies for leading a successful role play.  Indeed, there will be multiple events dedicated to running better games.  Discover what’s working for others now!
  5. You’ll be able to role play with others from different clubs and genres.  With a diverse set of hosts and settings, you’ll experience a wide range of concepts and ideas.  Challenge the simming norms and help break barriers!
