February Game Summary

It’s that time again, the monthly game summary! A lot has happened since the yearly summary was run, fights, flights, loves gained and lost, and of course the strange plot twist that takes the game in a totally new direction. There’s also the addition of the off-site summary (which runs on the 27th). Without further ado, the February Summary!

A Thousand Years Fatherless in Griffinfall athousandyearsfatherlessnew

It has been only a few days since Elilajar set up home in Everwinter following his betrothal to the Lady Miriam Aoann, but already the hectic happenings seem to have followed his fiance back from Snowshore. The fearful assassin Jake Shikaku has finally plucked up the courage to return to the wrath of the mourning royal family, and his entrance is graced with the fact that he manages to heal the young orphan boy that had been found on the evening of Lord Shyron’s welcoming banquet. Yet Miriam still remembers the happenings in amidst the smoke of war, and Jake harbours dangerously unknown news from his own enemies… Read More

Tib & Xann awarded the OWCH

The OWCH awardYou might have seen a fair few blog articles recently written by Tib, in his “Tib’s corner” segment, and also Xan/Mike’s regular game summary articles. Bothe of these members have also been a great help in the chatbox, often at hand to help moderate spam and keeping things civil.

This is why I’ve decided to award Xan and Tib the OWCH (OngoingWorlds Community Honor)! Both of these members have been a great asset to our community. Read More

Borderlands – The New Kids On The Block

Star Trek Borderlands logoThis article was written by Rich LeValley from Star Trek: Borderlands, a roleplaying group that’s been running since 1993.

Well, I’ve been familiar with David Ball, Award Winning Website creator, for some time. He has been a great supporter of my own game system Star Trek: Borderlands. It is with great gladness, then, that I have been given permission to bring Star Trek: Borderlands play to Ongoing Worlds in the form of the USS Marcus (see the game’s homepage here). Read More

Spellbound – Thank You for Two Years of Magic

Aetherion IIIAfternoon everyone, Leon Archer here also known as Phantasmagoria, the GM for Spellbound. I’d like to tell you about some cool things that I’ve got planned for this November/December.

So, you may have noticed this month that Octy has donned his wizard’s hat and wand. That’s because this month is the 2nd anniversary for Spellbound. Fifty Shades of Blue

Celebrating the 50th Blue Dwarf Podcast.

Blue DwarfThis article was written by Mr Tenn Pup (Jack) AKA Alex.

Wow! I can’t believe it’s only just over a year since we first pondered the possibility of a Blue Dwarf Podcast. David Ball put the notion to me in September 2012 by means of a tentative tweet. A few test-‘casts ensued (embarrassing Chris Barrie influenced murmurings from myself – a couple are still available online, if you know where to look), while David researched the best way to go about hosting and publishing the stories. A bit of skilled nudging and some excellent behind-the-scenes organisation from Mr Ball, and we’ve somehow managed to publish fifty already! Read More

What a great FallFest & two OWCH for the price of one

FallFest image by James Drysdale

What an outstanding FallFest!  Indeed, Diego and the entire support team from UFOP: StarBase 118 put on an absolutely fantastic show.  I actually counted 50 people in chat room #1 at one point during the first hour.  Wow!  Maybe next year we’ll need to expand to three events at once.  Who knows?

Anyway, I’d like to again thank everyone who had some hand in putting FallFest together.  We had contributors from seven different clubs (United Federation of Peaceful Simmers, Ongoing WorldsUFOP: StarBase 118Phoenix RoleplayingUCIPNew Worlds Project, and Independence Fleet).  So without any further ado, here they all are: Read More
