Did you know there’s a ChatWing app for Android?

Don’t want to use the app? Open a chat window by clicking here

Hey guys, you might know already that there’s a group chat on OngoingWorlds, it’s right there in the top right corner.

The chat we use is one called ChatWing, which we chose because it has loads of different customisable options.

Did you also know that ChatWing has a mobile app that you can use? It’s completely free and really easy to connect to the OngoingWorlds chat, even if you’re out and about, or having a lazy day on the sofa. Just download and install the app through the Google Play store (search for “ChatWing”), then when installed, search for our chat which is simply called “OngoingWorlds” and you’ll be able to chat the same as if you’ve clicked the icon through the website. Progress for perks

You might already know that OngoingWorlds has a few unlockable perks (we’ve blogged about them before here), and there’s more being developed soon (can’t tell you much about that right now though).

One of the perks for new members is to be able to unlock formatting options. The change I’ve made this weekend is for these new members to see progress until their next perk.

StatCat – The busiest roleplayers this year so far…

Statcat“Who is this stat cat“, you might ask?

Well he’s a feline with all the info, like a furry statistician. He’s given me a list of the most prolific roleplayers on OngoingWorlds in 2014 so far (he coughed it up onto my lap like a furball). Read More

Thanks to DocAnvil for the donation

S. S. Seiklon Axel roleplaying game

DocAnvil roleplays in the S. S. Seiklon Axel

Not long after I published a thanks to Xexes for donating, we got another donation. Wow that was fast! This time the donation came from DocAnvil, a roleplayer from the Borderlands Star Trek roleplaying community. This is the 2nd donation since my promise to send out mugs the the next three.  DocAnvil plays in the S. S. Seiklon Axel a roleplaying game set in the Star Trek universe aboard a civilian spaceship. A post by a member of Seiklon Axel was a runner-up in 2011’s Flashback week competition (read it here).

Why we need donations

The web hosting needs to be paid for (there’s a cost breakdown here), and usually that’s something I have to do. But it’s really great when everyone else can contribute. Your donations really do help keep OngoingWorlds going.

Thanks so much to DocAnvil for the donation!

Thanks to Xexes for the donation

Xexes

Xexes donated to our running costs, and will be sent a mug!

A few weeks ago I announced that anyone donating over $25 will be sent an OngoingWorlds mug (modelled by Ed below).

Roleplayer Xexes has done just that, so I’ll be sending him one of our special mugs. Xexes is a roleplayer and has written several articles for us which you’ll find here, and you’ll find him on RPG-D here.

The web hosting needs to be paid for (there’s a cost breakdown here), and usually that’s something I have to do. But it’s really great when someone can donate and get me off the hook for a month! Read More

The Monster Wars’ One Year Anniversary

DavidThere’s been a few milestones reached recently, if you follow our Facebook page you’ll have seen that the game Nova Lux is 200 days old, and I posted a graphic Tib made to mark the occasion. On the same post, Luke mentioned that his Darwin game is celebrating 100 days. Of course this is a mere blink in the lifespan of our longest running game Blue Dwarf, which was 14 years old this month!

Here’s an article written for us by Ralazie, talking about another anniversary, and what that means.

Monster WarsHello all! Zie here! Recently my very first Role-Playing game, The Monster Wars celebrated it’s first birthday. Not only did this game have its first anniversary on this site, but I did too. That’s right! I’ve been here for a full year now, and in the process, joined more games then I really should, but enough about me! Read More

April fools pranks on OngoingWorlds

Yesterday was the biggest trolling day in the calendar, and loads of companies played pranks on us. It was also the day that the evil Bill “Turnip” Spheres declared he was taking over OngoingWorlds, coincidence eh? Anyway this lead to Tib inventing and using the fantastic hashtag #PraiseTheTurnip (if you’ve not used it, go ahead and tweet it!).

Darwin the video game

Darwin video game

Perpetual Universes wasn’t the only jape on OngoingWorlds yesterday. Luke from Darwin announced that there will be a Darwin video game! The game will be made by Blaintendo and available for the Grigori Technologies 8-Bit Home Computer (this probably makes more sense if you’re a Darwin player!).  Read More
