It’s time to announce FallFest ’14!
Earlier this month, we asked the community for applications to host and chair this year’s FallFest. The competition was fierce, but one team stood out above the rest. It gives me great pleasure to announce that Misty Taylor will chair the 4th Simming Fall Festival, and her club, Phoenix Roleplaying, will serve as the host organization. Congrats to Misty and everyone at Phoenix Roleplaying! It’s a great honor to host the premier simming and online role playing event of the year. For a few short hours, the entire community will circle around Phoenix and everything they have to offer us. Indeed, it’s been one heck of a year for Phoenix. If you’ll remember, they took home one of the Squiddies back in March.
November 22, 2014
FallFest ’14 will be held on 11/22/2014… a little less than a week away. The tentative start time is 1:45pm EST/6:45pm GMT, but that is subject to change. The festival will run for about seven hours and will feature six discussion events and six trivia and/or live sim events. The discussions will take place in chat room #1 while the trivias/sims will be happening in chat room #2. Multiple genres will be represented. And just because Phoenix is taking the hosting duties, it doesn’t mean that you can’t host an individual event. If you’d like to lead a one-hour discussion, trivia game, or chat sim, please email me at star [dot] idf [at] gmail [dot] com and we’ll get you on the agenda. You can see last year’s schedule to get an idea on how this thing works and what type of events people are looking for.
