Chas Hammer is awarded the OWCH

I’d like to inform everyone that Chas Hammer, a member of our Board of Advisors, has resigned and decided to move on with his career. Chas joined us earlier this year in March when OngoingWorlds and the Simming League merged. During his seven months on the board, Chas has been an invaluable asset to us all. With that in mind, I now present the second Ongoing Worlds Community Honor to Chas Hammer for his service on the Board of Advisors and for hosting SciWorld 2012.

With his departure, Chas has withdrawn the Simming Prize, the SciWorld Online Convention, and the Tournament of Simulations from OngoingWorlds. We also hereby officially retire the Simming League Distinguished Service Medal. We wish Chas the best of luck with all of his future endeavors and look forward to continuing to support him and the many services he provides to the community.

Finally, I’d like to announce that Charles Star has joined the Board of Advisors. As you’ve probably already seen, Charles is our coordinator for the Community Honor and FallFest, and will be a regular contributor to our blog. Welcome aboard, Charles!
